SAMBA, Dec 21: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Dr DK Manyal today kick started the macadamization work of road in Sainik Colony Jammu Sector E. The 800 meter long road will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakh.
A large number of people including local residents and political activists were also present on the occasion.
The locals said that the road was in a dilapidated condition for a long time and was causing inconvenience to daily commuters. The macamadization work of the road will provide relief to the people.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA said that it was a long pending demand of the residents and accordingly the work has been taken up in order to provide services to the masses at their doorsteps.
He directed the concerned authorities to strictly adhere to the new macadamisation specifications so that the project will be completed in a fixed timeframe without any compromise on quality.
Among other present were Kulbir Singh Sambyal, Mandal President, Sat Pal Singh, general secretary, Col CL Magotra, Kuldeep Singh and officer of the PWD.
