JAMMU, Aug 29: MLA from R S Pura constituency, Dr Gagan Bhagat today kick-started various developmental works being executed by Rural Development Department at village Salehar and Chak Jagtu.
The Legislator launched work on community pathways and drains at village Salehar, to come up at an estimated cost of Rs 9 lakh. Later, he also inaugurated work on lanes and drains at Gazipur Kullian in R S Pura amounting to Rs 6.43 lakh.
On the occasion, Dr Bhagat took an on spot assessment of local issues and also toured the area. He was further apprised on various issues pertaining to development by residents of the area. He assured them that all their genuine issues will be considered at the earliest.
The MLA directed the concerned officials to expedite works so that these could be completed within the stipulated time and added that no compromise should be made on quality of work and materials used.
