JAMMU, Jan 8: Former minister and MLA Marh Sukhnandan Choudhary laid foundation stone of a community hall at Mandal Colony (Tawi Island) in Marh constituency today.
This community hall will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 17 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF). It was the long pending demand of the inhabitants of the Colony.
While addressing the gathering, the MLA said that implementation of various developmental activities undertaken by the Government has been fast-paced and are being regularly monitored. He said it is the commitment of the Govt.to ensure time bound completion of works so that people get benefited.
The MLA claimed that due to sustained efforts of the BJP-PDP Govt, much success has been achieved in ensuring time bound completion of developmental works. He also directed the executing agency to complete the work in stipulated time.
Calling upon youth to derive maximum benefit from employment schemes, he enjoined upon the youth to inculcate spirit of entrepreneurship and look beyond Govt. sector for jobs. Officers of the concerned departments, ex-sarpanchs, panchs and a large number of people of the area were also present on the occasion.
