DODA, Nov 22: MLA, Shakti Raj Parihar, today laid foundation stone of link road from main road to Satstang Bhawan in Panchyat Seel of Dally Udyanpur Block of district Doda.
The road, to be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 4.50 lakh under MGNREGA, is expected to be completed in one month, said Assistant Commissioner Development, Susheel Kumar while briefing the MLA about the details of the project.
The locals apprised the MLA about various issues related to development of their respective areas seeking his intervention in early redressal of the same. The issues included additional power transformer to the area facing problem of excessive electric load, potable drinking water facility especially during droughts, staff and infrastructure augmentation in health centre established under Sadbhavana etc.
The MLA asked the officers to refrain from absenteeism in their offices especially in rural areas as this not only affects the development works but also brings bad name to the particular department.
