DODA, Apr 16: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Doda Shakti Raj Parihar today laid the foundation stone of the link road from Jodhpur to Parshalla.
The 16.7 km long road to be constructed under PMGSY at an estimated cost of Rs 15 crore will provide road connectivity to the people of ten villages whose population is based on 12,000 souls included Gujjar Basti and historical Pashalla Mata temple other adjoining areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the Government is committed to provide road connectivity to rural areas, besides ensuring uninterrupted power and regular water supply to the people of the State.
He said his mission is to provide road connectivity to those areas of Doda constituency which are still without any link and hailed the State and Central Government for sanctioning Rs 250 crore under PMGSY specially for Doda constituency.
MLA assured the public that the present Government is determined to translate their commitments into action by providing connectivity to the rural areas and maintaining the condition of already constructed roads.
He said that the process of identification of the areas without road connectivity has been started and work on such projects will be started shortly.
MLA also interacted with the people of the area and after listening to their demands, gave on-spot directions to the concerned officers to take necessary action for their redressal in a time bound manner.
