Doda, June 30: To deliberate on the issues and demands to be projected in the proposed District Development Board meeting in the district to be held on July 4, MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar along with MLC Panchayati Raj Institutions Shyam Lal Bhagat today chaired a preliminary meeting with the District and sectoral officers in the conference Hall of DC office complex.
While reviewing the sector wise preparedness for the DDB, MLA stressed upon the projection of such few demands and projects which could be entirely executed in a year instead of projecting large number of such works ,where proper funding, because of large quantum of works may delay the work.
Under PDD sector Mr. Parihar asked the XEn PDD to propose the feasibility of establishment of a resource pool of transformers in the District from where the damaged transformers could be replaced without any delay, besides the progress of power station Dhara and Marmat was also reviewed in the meeting.
While reviewing the progress and demands of the Health Department, MLA asked the AD Planning and CMO Doda to pursue the construction work of compound wall at District Hospital Doda on war footing basis.
Expressing concern over delayed restoration of irrigation canals damaged due dumping of debris during construction of roads under PMGSY,MLA asked the XEn PMGSY to project the liabilities for the same under shifting of utilities.
He also stressed on the uniform distribution of the funds under various sectors and in this context ACD Doda was directed to distribute the funds panchayat wise uniformly as per their liabilities .
Progress of centrally sponsored schemes including PMJDY, Atal Pension Yojana,Pardhan Mantri Suraksha Yojana, Pradhan Mantari Jiwan Jyoti Yojana among others were also reviewed in the meeting.
Besides performance and demands of Rural Development Department, R&B, IAY, BRGF ,PDD ,Agriculture ,Apiculture ,Horticulture etc were also discussed in the meeting.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Doda Bhupinder Kumar presented a detailed account of District plan 2014-15 and proposed outlay of 2015-16.
