KALAKOTE, Dec 26: MLA Kalakote, Thakur Randhir Singh staged a protest along with BJP workers against the violation of protocol during the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of a 45-meter span motorable bridge at Mangrote over Sadda Nallah today.
The project, to be executed by PWD (R&B), is estimated to cost Rs 520 lakh. The function, presided over by Deputy Chief Minister (DyCM), Surinder Choudhary, was held without inviting the local MLA, sparking outrage in the constituency.

I will not allow this kind of conduct in my constituency,” he asserted.
The MLA demanded immediate action from the Lieutenant Governor’s Administration against the Commissioner. Secretary PWD, Chief Engineer PWD, SE Rajouri, and XEn PWD, holding them responsible for the breach of protocol.
Accompanied by a large group of supporters and party workers, Singh raised slogans against the DyCM and NC Government.
Adding to the chorus of criticism, Yuvraj Singh, State vice president of BJYM (BJP Youth Wing), also condemned the action of the DyCM and called for strict action against those responsible for the protocol violation. The LG Administration must intervene and take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future,” he stated.
