MENDHAR, Aug 29: Member Legislative Assembly from Mendhar, Javed Rana provided 300 desks for the students of Govt Higher Secondary School Boys, Mendhar.
Addressing the gathering during the programme held in this school while handing over desks provided by him out of his Constituency Development Fund, he stressed upon the need to have regular parent-teachers meetings in the schools. He said it will help in raising education stranded and improve the quality of education in this remote belt.
Bringing to an end one of the long pending demands of the school, MLA also announced that he will construct an examination hall in the school for which foundation stone will be laid soon.
While sharing his views on Government education sector, MLA said that although concerned minister is putting in good efforts for reforms but due to callous approach of lower and middle rung officers, desirable results are not coming on the ground. He alleged that some officers of Poonch are working only in offices and hardly paying any visit in field which is most important for improving system.
