JAMMU, Mar 3: MLA Kathua, Charanjeet Singh today questioned the inordinate delay on the part of Government in filing LPA against the Single Judge order on the much controversial Kalibari land issue.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Mr Singh said that in the much controversial Kalibari land issue, the Government, on the basis of Vigilance enquiry, had ordered pre-mature retirement of five officials of the Revenue Department.
Thereafter, the challan was presented in the court of law and Single Judge of the High Court delivered verdict in the favour of private respondents, he said, adding soon after the judgement the Government advocate had sought permission to challenge the Single Judge order in the Division Bench.
“It is not understandable as to why the Government is not granting permission to challenge the judgement in the Division Bench”, he said, adding “permission to file LPA must be granted at the earliest as it is the same case in which pre-mature retirement of five officials of the Revenue Department was ordered for conniving with the private respondents”.
