JAMMU, Sept 7: MLA Ramnagar, R S Pathania today visited the land identified for construction of youth hostel and Tourist Information Centre at Mansar.
While interacting with the officers of Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority and Department of Tourism, Pathania said that budgeted accommodation should be made at this tourist spot so that the tourists can stay at nominal rates.
The MLA also discussed the issue of identification of land for construction of sewerage treatment plant at Mansar so that the waste material generated at the tourist spot does not pollute the lake.
The MLA was informed that 6 kanal of State land is available for construction of youth hostel near the lake.
Chief Executive Officer SMDA Vikas Gupta, Executive Engineer SMDA Tarsem Lal, Range Officer Wildlife, Amit Sharma, Accounts Officer SMDA Ganga Ram, officers of Tourism and Revenue Department were also present in the meeting.
