JAMMU, Nov 10: Founded by young entrepreneur Akshay Sethi, ‘Sethi Embroidery’, a new showroom was inaugurated by MLA Vikram Randhawa, here today.
The showroom features a rich array of authentic Kashmiri embroidered garments that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary style.
This new venture not only showcases the elegance of Kashmiri heritage but also aims to boost local employment by attracting and training talent in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Randhawa lauded Akshay Sethi’s commitment to preserving Kashmiri culture through innovative business practices.
He highlighted the importance of youth-led ventures like Sethi Embroidery in revitalizing local economies and preserving cultural heritage.
“It’s encouraging to see young entrepreneurs bringing forward our regional art forms and creating avenues for employment. Such initiatives underscore the strength of Jammu’s business community in fostering cultural pride while driving economic growth,” he said.
Randhawa urged young people to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career path and take advantage of the Central Government’s numerous welfare schemes aimed at youth empowerment.
Expanding beyond the local market, Akshay Sethi has also showcased its designs internationally at various fashion exhibitions, building a global appreciation for Kashmiri craftsmanship.
The showroom’s design was crafted by architect Anchit Sharma, founder of VirHosho Studio De Design, a premier architectural firm based in Mohali and Jammu.
