AKHNOOR, Feb 26: Jammu North MLA Sham Lal Sharma inspected the progress of ongoing developmental works including the construction work of ring bund, repairing and desilting work of Ranbir canal, here today.
Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control Department Manoj Gupta also accompanied the MLA.
During this visit, Sham Lal inspected the progress, quality and effectiveness of the ongoing developmental works.
He asked the officials to complete the work on time and as per the required standards.
The MLA also asked the officials to expedite work of removal of silt from the canal, so that farmers could get water for farming on time.
The guidelines were also issued to the officers of Irrigation and Flood Control Department regarding the quality of material used in the development works.
