JAMMU, Nov 25: MLA of Jammu North constituency, Sham Lal Sharma reaffirmed his commitment to the rapid development of his constituency during a public meeting at Muthi in JMC Ward Number 67.
Addressing an enthusiastic gathering, Sharma expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and positivity shown by the residents, which he said had strengthened his resolve to work tirelessly for the betterment of the region.
Sharma emphasized his focus on addressing key issues, including development, sanitation, and the upliftment of deprived sections of society. He assured the public that necessary steps would be prioritized to ensure visible progress in the coming months. “The Government of India, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched numerous welfare schemes. My priority is to ensure that these benefits reach the intended population in full measure,” he said.
Prominent personalities from various fields also attended the event. Among them were Suraj Padha, former Counselor; Jagmohan Sharma; Advocate Rajesh Thappa; Rajendra Sharma; and retired Justice BL Bhat. Retired Col Man Singh Jamwal and PK Sharma, retired Director of Horticulture, also graced the occasion.
During the meeting, several speakers, including Jagmohan Sharma and Rajendra Sharma, highlighted developmental challenges in the area, urging immediate action to improve infrastructure and basic amenities. Ajay Khajuria (retired JKAS), philanthropist Ajay Sharma, and Mandal Adhyaksh Suresh Sharma shared insights into potential solutions and community needs.
The gathering was attended by many notable figures, including Raman Sharma, Om Prakash Bhuria, Balwant Singh, Jaswant Singh Jamwal, M L Dogra, and Ashok Sharma. The event concluded with a renewed pledge from all stakeholders to work collaboratively for the holistic development of Jammu North.
