UDHAMPUR, Sept 2: Lashing out at MLA Udhampur for his outburst against the coalition Government, the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party today accused him of being hypocritical.
“This is duplicity as well as frustration of the MLA Udhampur that he is now criticizing the BJP and leveling baseless allegations on the coalition Government, in which he was a MoS till the death of then Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed,” said State BJP general secretary, Pawan Khajuria while addressing a press conference, here today.
He recalled that when the MLA was a member of BJP and part of the coalition Government, everything was alright for the latter and he used to appreciate the State regime, Union Government as well as BJP organization. “However, when he (the MLA) was not inducted in the ministry of Mehbooba Mufti Government, he started criticizing State Government as well as BJP organization and this shows his hypocrisy,” Mr Khajuria added.
The BJP leader made it clear that old age, widow and disable pension has been increased only on the directions of the Government of India, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it was unfortunate that some vested interest   leaders were trying to take the credit of this historic decision.
District president Rakesh Gupta, district general secretary Jagdish Kumar, Pavitar Singh and Akhilesh Khajuria were also present in the press conference.
