JAMMU, Feb 20: National Conference MLA Bimla Luthra and BJP MLA Jugal Kishore had to face embarrassment today after Marshals seized their mobile phones on the direction of Deputy Speaker Sartaj Madni, during different sessions of House.
During the discussion on demand of grants for Revenue, Relief, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Departments, the Deputy Speaker spotted Bimla Luthra fiddling with her mobile phones following which he ordered Marshals to immediately seize the later’s phone.
Under similar circumstances, the mobile phone of Jugal Kishore was seized during second sitting of the House.
Pertinent to mention here that use of mobile phone in the House is not allowed as per directions of the Chair for avoiding disturbance during proceedings. Yesterday, mobile phone of BJP Legislature Party Leader Ashok Khajuria was also seized in the House.
