MLC visits Nursing College, takes stock of situation

KISHTWAR, Dec 1: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and MLC, Firdous Ahmad Tak visited Nursing College of Kishtwar and Islam’s Faridia Higher Secondary School Kishtwar where he took stock of facilities available for students.
As per a statement issued here, Tak inspected various ongoing construction works at the Nursing College and Islamia Faridia Higher Secondary School Kishtwar where, he assured solution of problems faced by the administration in improving facilities for students.
Speaking on the occasion at Nursing College MLC said that “it was the dream of the former Chief Minister, Late Mufti Mohammad Sayed to establish Nursing institution on war footing for the far flung students of State. He said only after the announcement of Nursing Colleges in State by the then Chief Minister, Mufti Sayeed, within a time period of one year the class work and other arrangements were made by the present PDP led Government, he said.
He also assured the staff members and other officials of Nursing College that he would be available for them and he would take up the issues related to infrastructure, hostel facilities, and classrooms with Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti .
However, during the Islamia Faridia School visit, Administrator Auqaf Kishtwar, Dr Tariq Hussain Dev, accompanied the MLC and discussed with him various issues regarding facilities available and bottlenecks faced in improving the facilities.
Tak suggested the Administrator Auqaf to start playway method Kinder Garten school at Islamia school and also inspect the infrastructure of both boys and girls block of the Institution.
Administrator informed the MLC regarding the encroachment of Auqaf land at different places in Kishtwar and lack of funds due to the decreasing admissions in B Ed College Kishtwar.
