MMINSR SKIMS celebrates 9th College Annual Day

SRINAGAR, July 11: The Madr-e-Meharban Institute of Nursing Sciences & Research (MMINSR), affiliated with SKIMS, today celebrated its 9th College Annual Day.
The event focused on the theme “Recent Challenges of Healthcare System, Evidence-Based Practice,” highlighting the evolving landscape of healthcare.
Several guests and officials attended the event, with the Director of SKIMS & EOSG, Prof. Parvaiz A. Koul, serving as the chief guest. Prof. Koul emphasized the significance of academic activities and extended his support to all educational endeavours.
He acknowledged the vital role played by nursing professionals in patient care and commended MMINSR for its substantial contributions to nursing education within and beyond the region of J&K.
Prof. Koul urged the students to deliver quality care and encouraged them to revisit the exemplary nursing practices established at SKIMS.
Dr Bashir A. Laway, the Dean of the Medical Faculty, praised the organizing committee for their dedication to arranging the event. He highlighted the growth of the Nursing College at SKIMS, which initially offered basic diploma courses but now successfully runs undergraduate and postgraduate programs with comprehensive facilities.
Dr Farooq A. Jan, the Medical Superintendent, attended the event as a special guest and expressed his appreciation for the faculty at MMINSR. He stressed the importance of ethical practices, effective communication skills, and strong patient relationships as the core principles of nursing education.
In her address, Prof. Munira Kachroo, the Principal of MMINSR, welcomed all participants and highlighted the college’s activities and achievements. She expressed gratitude to the administration for their unwavering support.
