12th Jammu District Sport Climbing C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Apr 27: MNDP School, RS Pura, emerged overall winner in the 12th Jammu Sport Climbing Championship.
During the championship, MNDP School bagged 10 medals out of 12 medals at stake in four categories of Boys, Girls, Sub-Junior Boys and Sub-Junior Girls.
Nisha Thakur of Oriental Academy who won a gold medal in Junior Girls category and Ghar Singh of Misra Shiksha Niketan, Arnia who clinched silver medal in their Junior-Boys category were the only exceptions.
On the concluding day, Director MNDP School, RS Pura, Anil Choudhary, was the chief guest who presented medals to the winners of various categories.
Among others present were Ram Khajuria, secretary, Mountaineering Association of J&K, Happy Choudhary, Shivani Raj, Suraj Singh, Puneet Sharma, Anil Kumar, Ria Gupta, Mrigank Kaushal and Sonam Sidharth.
Earlier, in Sub-Junior Girls Category, Pawandeep, Riya Choudhary and Sheetal Choudhary bagged first, second and third positions respectively while in Sub-Junior Boys category, Shubham Choudhary was declared first whereas Simran Jeet Singh and Varun Sharma had to satisfy with second and third positions respectively.
In Boys category, Sumit stood first, Ghar Singh second while Atul Choudhary bagged third position and in Girls category, Nisha Thakur, Deepika Isher and Ria Sharma secured first, second and third positions respectively.
