MNP highlights demands of migrants

JAMMU, June 26: A meeting of Manvadhikar National Party (MNP) was held here, today under the chairmanship of Vinod Raina, coordinator, migrant wing of the party and Daizy Dhar president migrant wing.
The meeting held a detailed discussion on the day-today problems of the displaced community. It was observed that the problems are increasing day by day. Every section of the community viz (youths, relief holders, traders, employees, students, overaged, camp dewellers, non-camp people) are suffering at the hands of State authorities. Ration is not being provided in time, traders, overaged youths are totally ignored, HRA is not being released, pending 50% ex-gratia of burnt houses which is the long pending demand has not been released. The meeting demanded one- time compensation to traders & over-aged persons. It was also demanded to increase the monthly relief from Rs 13000 to Rs 25000 in view of skyrocketing prices.
The members appealed the Government especially visiting Home Minister to solve the burning problems of the displaced persons as we have high hopes from the Central Government.
The meeting was attended by Anju Dhar, vice president, Jai Kishori Kaw, general secretary, Asha Kisroo organizer, Reeta Sadu deputy organizar, Reena Hakoo joint secretary and Anu Koul secretary.
