JAMMU, July 12: The mobile internet service was today restored after two days in this winter capital of the State.
”Mobile internet service was restored this afternoon at around 1300 hrs,” an official here said.
He said the service was suspended as a preventive measure, in view of the attack on Amarnath yatris in Anantnag, in which seven pilgrims were killed and 15 got injured.
”To avoid circulation of provocative and hatred messages, as well as pictures post attack on the social media, mobile internet service was snapped late night on July 10.
”As situation is quite peaceful except in Kathua and R S Pura belts, where shutdown is being observed, the service has been restored for the subscribers, so that they do not face any hardship,” he added.
