Moderate intensity quake rocks Kashmir, people rush out in panic

SRINAGAR :  An earthquake of moderate 5.3 magnitude intensity rocked Kashmir valley, including summer capital, Srinagar, this afternoon forcing people to rush out of their houses in panic.
A Met department spokesman said tremors were felt at 1426 hrs this afternoon which lasted for few seconds.    He said its epicenter was somewhere in Hindukush mountains in Afghanistan.
Officials said people rushed out of their homes.     However, there was no report of any loss of life or damage to property.
