JAMMU : Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad today pooh-poohed Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s candidature as Prime Minister by saying
nobody becomes ‘Sikander’ by naming himself as one.
‘Naam Sikander Rakhne Se Koi Sikander Nahi Ban Jaata,” (Nobody becomes ‘Sikander’ by naming himself as ‘Sikander’)’ Mr Azad told reporters on his arrival at University of Jammu here this morning.
The Union Minister was here in the town to attend a day-long Health and Awareness programme held at Jammu University.
‘Though it is an internal matter of BJP and I cannot comment more than this,’ said the Minister.
Mr Azad had also to meet the party delegations and Congress activists in the afternoon before leaving for the national capital.
