Construction of WSS worth Rs 6.62 cr started at Rajpura

JAMMU, Nov 27: The BJP Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has established new paradigms for progress in Jammu and Kashmir by providing vistas of opportunities to people belonging to all shades of life and setting up world class infrastructure to augment facilities to the common man.
This was stated by Bharat Bhushan Bodhi, DDC Chairman Jammu and senior BJP leader while starting development works of Water Supply Scheme (WSS) Rajpura including Sump Tank, Motor room along with distribution system with an estimated cost of Rs 4.52 crore at Village Rajpura falling under the Marh constituency.
On the occasion, DDC Member Balbir Kumar, Mena Devi, Sarpanch Sham Lal, Sarpanch Prem Singh, Sarpanch Dhanetar Singh, Lambardar Uttam Singh, Lambardar, Suraj Parkash, Naib Sarpanch, Sanjay Sharma, Panch, Suram Singh, Panch, Amrik Singh, ex Panch, Ram Lal, Panch, Bua Ditta, Subash Verma and Yash Pal were also present.
The DDC Chairman said that the development in the rural sector has received massive impetus under BJP regime which has resulted in bridging the gap between rural and urban life. He said that the BJP led Government in the Centre is fully sensitive towards the issues of the people and is taking comprehensive measures for redressal of the same at the earliest.
Bharat Bhushan said that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the Central Government is envisioned to provide safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections by 2024 to all households in rural India. He said under this Mission, the places which never had thought of getting tapped water are currently enjoying the same without any interruption.
He said that providing safe and adequate drinking water is among the Government’s top priorities and it stands fully committed to achieve the target of ‘“Ghar Ghar Jal, Ghar Ghar Nal” very soon.
Meanwhile, the DDC Chairman has also started black topping of the road from Rajpura to Jhiri via Bhatian having a length of 3.10 Km under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). This development work will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 2.10 crore.
Bharat Bhushan said that he is committed to the development of Marh constituency and he will ensure that the benefits of all Central sponsored schemes must reach the doorsteps of people of the area. He asserted that he will not leave any stone unturned in providing basic amenities to the people of the border constituency of Marh. He said only then we can say that the objective of good governance has been achieved.
