KATHUA, June 9: Senior Congress leader and former minister Dr Manohar Lal Sharma convened a public meeting at village Dashanu in Panchyat Dinga Amb-B of Block Ding Amb of Kandi Area, Billawar constituency, in which a large number of people from different section of society and party workers participated.
Dr Sharma while addressing said that BJP celebrating three years of his Government as “Modi Fest” is nothing, but a bundle of lies. He said that I appreciate BJP for having art to convert white lies into truth by propagating false propaganda by using all means.
Dr Sharma raised serious concerns over the betrayal of BJP and his leaders with people of country for his commitments and promises made during both elections of Parliament as well as assembly in public meetings by quoting different slogans various times again and again, but all proved hollow till date even after completion of three years in power.
Dr Sharma pointed out that GDP is showing continuously downward trends to 6.1% from 7.1% before demonetization, similarly eight major core sectors are continuously sinking, service sector is in bad position and no growth in new employment generation. Dr Sharma also said that the status of ‘the fastest growing economy of the world’ which had been given to India, is lost.
He showed deep anguish over the present condition of Indian farmers who are forced to take such stringent step like suicide due to heavy load on their head by virtue of wrong policies of Government. He added that the unemployed youth of State as well as country are in the state of suffocation in present dispensation and they are feeling completely betrayed and cheated.
Public of Kandi area of Dingamb Block of Hiranagar sub-division constituency Billawar as well as the Jammu is accusing present dispensation for adopting anti-people, anti-youth and anti-poor policies since their formation. The public of the entire area is suffering due to lack of basic day-to-day amenities like un-interrupted power supply, portable water, non-availability essential commodities like ration, sugar and medical facilities as also steep arise in the daily consumable commodities.
Prominent people present in the meeting were former MLC and District President Subash Gupta, Capt Tara Chand, Capt Tharu Ram, Kuldeep Gupta, Head Master Chimal Singh, Surinder Singh, Jagdish Dogra, Madan Lal Sharma, Kulbushan Singh, Kamal Singh, Master Karm Chand Khajuria, Ashok Kumar, Dy SP Kundan Lal Khajuria, Jamal Chand, Mir Singh Sethy, Sukh Dev Singh, Harbans Singh, Baldav Singh, Molvi Manjoor and Swarn Singh.
