Gujar leader Haji Yusuf with supporters joins BJP

JAMMU, Mar 1: Haji Mohd Yusuf Majnu, president All Jammu and Kashmir Gujar Bakerwal Conference joined BJP along with hundreds of his supporters.
Ravinder Raina, president, J&K BJP, Ashok Koul, general secretary (Organization), MP (Rajya Sabha) Ghulam Ali Khatana, former Minister, Abdul Ghani Kohli, former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia and other senior party functionaries welcomed Haji and his supporters into the party fold.
Ravinder Raina, in his address said that Gujars and Bakerwals were deprived of their political rights and there was no political representation for them in Jammu and Kashmir before abrogation of Articles 370. He said that it is the BJP Government and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who took bold decision of abrogating it which paved the way for giving representation to all sections of society.
Raina further said that after the abrogation of Articles 370 new chapter of development has been written and Jammu and Kashmir is marching on the path of development on the lines of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” and added that PM Modi has initiated plethora of schemes to benefit the poor and the needy.
Ashok Koul in his address ensured that they make their joining complete through online mode. He expressed faith that the new entrants under the leadership of Haji Mohd Yusuf Majnu, will work dedicatedly following the party line and that the BJP will be strengthened in Ramban, Anantnag, Shopian and adjoining areas by the joining of Haji Yusuf.
Ghulam Ali Khatana, who facilitated the joining, said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have realized that development of Jammu and Kashmir is only possible under the rule of BJP because it serves the nation and society with the zeal of taking the country to new heights and it is the Prime Minister, Modi who has the vision of making India a developed nation by 2047.
Abdul Ghani Kohli said that he is happy that Gujar and Bakerwal communities are reaping the fruit of Modi’s development which was not possible in the regime of NC, Congress and PDP.
Haji Mohd Yusuf Majnu said that Gujars and Bakerwals are true nationalists and patriotic community and they will work hand to hand in the coming elections for the victory of BJP and added that they will leave no stone unturned to defeat the dividing forces into the State and will strengthen the hands of Narender Modi who is a ‘Masiha’ of peace.
