SAMBA, Mar 1: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today condemned the anti-people policies adopted by the Modi Government.
Speaking in a meeting of Congress workers at Vijaypur  today Mr Singh said that the BJP Government in Centre has been exposed with its anti- people policies like Land Acquisition Bill and Budget 2015-16.
“The controversial Land Acquisition Bill was brought by the Modi Government to benefit big business houses in the country while it ignore the poor farmers since their rights on their own land has been snatched with no security,”  Mr  Singh said.
He alleged that the Corporate sector and big industrialists can take away the cultivatable land from the farmers as the Modi Government is working for their benefits.
“It was Congress party which had kept poor people into consideration in land acquisition  while the BJP Government has been working in the hands of the Corporate sector,” he alleged.
He further said that recently budget was presented by the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley also failed to keep in mind the poor population of the country. The budget has  upset the people of  the country since it has over burdened the people with more taxes instead of giving them some relief.
