Modi Govt brought drastic improvement in infrastructure development: Kavinder

JAMMU, Feb 9: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta along with MLC, Vikram Randhawa extensively toured Ward 55 & 68 falling under Gandhi Nagar Legislative Assembly and took stock of ongoing development works being executed in the area. He also inspected the works pertaining to maintenance and upgradation of roads, lanes and drains executed by PWD (R&B), JMC and other agencies. Gupta appealed to the residents to be vigilant during the execution of all the developmental works and report the discrepancy in the usage of material and quality of work.
He said it is the hard earned money by the public which is paid in the form of tax in any way to Government being utilized for the development of the nation and every citizen has a duty to cross -check the quality of works. By the cooperation of public the corruption and other malpractices adopted by the contractors can be brought to the notice of the higher authorities.
While interacting with the people at these places, Gupta said that “Modi led NDA Government has brought drastic improvement in infrastructure development in Jammu and Kashmir”. He said that projects amounting to several crores have been sanctioned by the Government for upgrading and creating new infrastructure for both of the regions of the Union Territory. In last Six years, the people of the erstwhile State have witnessed the drastic improvement in all sectors in J&K & Ladakh. Gupta was accompanied by BJP Jammu district president, Vinay Gupta, Jagmeet Singh, Tara Chand, Prem Lal, Mandeep and prominent persons of the locality.
Residents from both the wards thanked former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta for his support and expressed gratitude for keeping his promise of providing them basic facilities by way of development of roads, lanes & drains, installation of street lights and other amenities.
