Kick-started development work at Khanpur

SAMBA, Dec 10: Sarabjit Singh Johal, member of District Development Council (DDC), Ramgarh today kick started the construction of lane and drain at Khanpur Panchayat in block Ramgarh of district Samba in presence of prominent persons and local residents.
In his address, Sarabjit Singh Johal said that this demand for lane and drain construction had been pending for a long time. He said that with the commencement of the work a long pending demand of the people of this village has been fulfilled. On the completion of this work the people will get benefited.
He said that the village people have highlighted the major issue of widening of the road leading to Gurudwara in this Panchayat besides two small lanes in the area. He said that he has already sanctioned Rs. 9 lakh for the Gurudwara road and the work on the same would commence soon. He also assured to take up the work of two other lanes thereafter.
The DDC member expressed his profound gratitude to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led BJP Government for continuously providing funds for the developmental works at Panchayat level, due to which works are going on unhindered in the Panchayats at a rapid pace. He said that steps are being taken continuously for the development of rural areas under the Modi led Government at the Center which is making the requisite funds available for the Panchayats.
Later Sarabjit Singh Johal also interacted with the people of the area who conveyed to him their problems and issues. He assured to take up the issues with the concerned authorities and get the same addressed at the earliest.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sarpanch Raj Kumari, Panch Karan Singh Salaria, Nancy Chaudhary, Sudhakar Verma, Naib Sarpanch Jagdish Verma, BJP Mandal Adhyaksh Shiv Kumar Chaudhary and Smarty Singh of BJP Yuva Morcha.
