KATHUA, Dec 12: J&K BJP vice president, Yudhvir Sethi said that the wave of change has been witnessed across the country and people have realised that the future and welfare of young generation lies in strengthening BJP and contributing in nation building under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
While chairing a series of meetings with party workers at Barnoti, Rajpura and Keerian Gandial areas of Kathua district, the senior BJP leader said that it is for the first time in the history of J&K that people are seeing Jamhuriyat flourishing in real sense and Panchayats getting funds directly through Centre. Earlier, the development funds were provided only up to MLA and MLC level but now under BJP regime the funds will reach up to Panchs and Sarpanchs entailing overall development of Jammu and Kashmir. This benevolent process could only be evolved due to scrapping of Article 370″, he maintained.
Highlighting benefits of abrogation of Article 370, Sethi, who is also the Prabhari of Kathua district, said that Articles 370 and 35-A were responsible for Jammu and Kashmir’s backwardness while only benefiting a select few like the separatists and their associates. He said while earlier there were restrictions on transfer of land it will now lead to growth and employment and private investments in education, health and tourism.
With the restrictions removed, the tourism potential of the State will be fully realised with investment in tourist infrastructure and hotels that will create more jobs, he asserted.
“The neutralization of 370, abrogation of 35-A and reorganisation of J&K State into two Union Territories are acts of transforming erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir into peace from a hotbed of separatism, terrorism and international intrigue. Jammu and Kashmir now stands fully integrated without any Constitutional reservations that nourished feeling of separateness amongst the people living here. The fundamental rights as enshrined in the Constitution of India are now available in full measure to all domiciles of Jammu and Kashmir. Gorkhas, Valmiki Samaj, PoJK refugees, West Pakistan refugees now enjoy all rights as equal citizens of India after suffering a humiliating discrimination for all these years,” he added.
