Modi Govt committed to empowering marginalized sections of society: Rekha

JAMMU, Feb 14: Modi Sarkar is committed to empowering marginalized sections of society by taking Central Government schemes to the last person. This was stated by Rekha Mahajan, district president Jammu South, while addressing the ST community at Booth No 54, Bhatindi of Bahu constituency.
The programme was organized by Booth president, Mohd Yaqoob which was attended the large number of common masses belonging to ST community included Sarpanch Bashir Ahmed Khatana, Panch Mushtaq, district secretary, Sadeeq Choudhary, ST Morcha district president, Rafiq Choudhary.
During the meeting, Rekha Mahajan highlighted, that the welfare schemes for the Scheduled Tribes have risen by five times and the scholarship for Tribal students has grown by two-and-a-half times in the last 10 years under the Modi Government.
Rekha emphasized that the Modi Sarkaar has exerted its full force to ensure that the extremely backward among the Tribal population benefit from its every scheme. More than four crore pucca houses have been built for the poor by the Modi Government. She asserted that those who were always ignored earlier have not only been reached out by him but also worshipped.
Rekha Mahajan stressed that the Modi Government initiative is for the welfare of the people. By offering the loan amount to people, the Stand Up Loan scheme promotes entrepreneurship among SC, ST communities, and women. As it helps people to become financially stable, this scheme has come under the financial inclusion agenda. During the discussions made at the meeting, the people of the ST community also talked about the benefits which are provided by the Government which include, the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, now called the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), which aims to be one of the world’s largest health insurance schemes. It aims to offer a health insurance plan of Rs. 5 lakhs annually per family for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization.
Expressing her belief regarding the benefits and schemes provided by the Government, discussions regarding Ujjwala 2.0, Yojana were made in which eligible beneficiaries will receive financial help to get an LPG connection along with a gas stove and a cylinder.
