Modi Govt committed to welfare of OBCs: Yudhvir

JAMMU, Apr 22: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir, vice president, Yudhvir Sethi, has reiterated that the Union Government led by PM Narendra Modi is committed for the welfare and prosperity of the OBC community.
He was addressing a mammoth gathering during a function organized by All Jammu and Kashmir Sain Samaj (AJKSS) to celebrate the 722nd birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Baba Sain Ji Maharaj at Guru Nabha Dass Sabha here, today.
The function that commenced with paying of obeisance to Sant Shiromani Sain Dass Ji Maharaj by the gathering of the Biradari along with the dignitaries.
In his address, Yudhvir Sethi, while recalling the teachings of the great saint for selfless service to the society, said that Sant Ji Maharaj has shown the path of self realization and the legacy of his deeds and virtues are his teachings which are all the more significant today. He said that Sant Shiromani Sain Ji Maharaj worked for the upliftment of the poor and down trodden communities.
The senior BJP leader highlighted the role played by Modi Government for the welfare of OBC community, the poor and downtrodden. He asserted that the Central Government stands committed to the prosperity and welfare of the OBCs living in Jammu and Kashmir. He informed the gathering that Modi Government is going to grant all the legitimate rights to J&K OBCs very soon.
Other speakers highlighted the contribution of Sain Bhagat Ji Maharaj and also the role played by the Sain Samaj during the past several years for transforming their Samaj and the society at large.
The function was organized under the supervision of J&K Sain Samaj headed by its president Rajinder Sikka and general secretary, Kewal Fothra.
