JAMMU, Jan 14: Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with Ex-MLA Ashwani Sharma, district president Brijeshwar Rana and other leaders, distributed blankets among the poor women at village Powal in Bishnah Assembly Constituency besides addressing a block level meeting of Party activists at village Arnia.
The MP was also apprised of the problems of local inhabitants, who sought his  intervention in mitigation their problems.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing the party activists at Arnia said that the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre is well aware of the problems being faced by the border people and every efforts is being made to ensure that whatever is possible should be done for them. He announced that a special recruitment drive for Central Security Forces will soon be undertaken in the border areas and 60 per cent of the youth to be recruited will be from border areas.
Sharma said that during the last two and half years, a number of welfare schemes have been launched for women, farmers, youth and weaker sections with the sole objective of their social and economic empowerment.
Ashwani Sharma, on this occasion, said that the people of Bishnah in particular are being made to suffer due to the discriminatory attitude of the sitting MLA and they have only hopes in BJP. He said that the pace of developmental activities undertaken during his own two terms as MLA has now almost come to stand still and the people have anger and resentment against the present MLA.
R.S. Pura district president Brijeshwar Rana, while addressing the party activists, stressed upon them to educate the people about the welfare schemes and ensure that the misinformation and false campaign launched by opposition parties is foiled.
Party leaders Ramesh Saini, Satish Bharti, Yash Pal Saini, Sunil Luthra, Parth Mahajan, also accompanied the MP.
