JAMMU, Aug 30: To address the problems of the people, BJP J&K has initiated a weekly sitting of Deputy Mayor of Jammu at Pt Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan, Kacchi Chawni.
In the series, Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria conducted a grievance camp to listen and address the problems related to the services provided by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
A deputation from Ward 16 requested for the installation of a new Water Cooler at Nag Devta Mandir, New Plot, Ward No 12 representation stated problem of street lights, Ward 66 deputation requested for repair of lane and drain, Ward No 47 representation stated need for the street lights & High Mast lights at Ram Lila Ground, Bahu Fort and deputation from Girls Blind School, Roop Nagar for proper supply of adequate drinking water. Ward No 15 representation stated requirement of street lights, Ward 43 deputation requested construction of Shiv Mandir community Hall in Sector 6, Nanak Nagar, deputation from Ajeet Nagar requested for repair of public toilet opposite MBS College, Ward 5 deputation requested for increase of entry points in a park to be constructed under smart city plan and Ward 7 deputation requested to complete the construction of Public Toilet initiated under CTBT project.
Deputy Mayor Billawaria sorted out many of their problems on the spot and assured the other visitors that a prompt action would be taken soon for the other issues presented. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Mayor said that the BJP is committed to serve the nation, society and especially the needy persons in every tough hour in their every need. For this the party has taken initiative to let them share their issues with the party leadership so that their issues could be sorted out at the earliest.
He said BJP is committed to the welfare of people and the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very particular to mitigate the sufferings of the masses in every aspect.
BJP district president, Parmodh Kapahi, corporator Anil Masoom, BJP senior leader Rajeev Charak and Kuldeep Kandhari accompanied the Deputy Mayor and coordinated the camp proceedings.
