JAMMU, Apr 16: Abhinav Sharma, J&K BJP spokesperson strongly termed targeted killing of the minority community member as heinous act of Pakistan -sponsored terrorists who want to disrupt the ongoing peace process in Kashmir.
In a statement issued here, today, the senior BJP leader said that increasing attacks on civilians in Kashmir show the desperation among the propagators of violence who in actual are the stooges of their masters sitting across the border in Pakistan. He said that soon after Prime Minister, Narendra Modi took over the reins of the country in 2014, the scenario with respect to combating terrorism changed in the Union Territory with security forces getting a free hand to tackle insurgents and surgical strikes becoming a new norm.
Abhinav Sharma asserted that people have awakened against terrorism as well as violence and are prepared to give a befitting reply to terrorists, who had taken so many innocent lives and disturbed peace for decades. He said that it is time to face the situation, confront it head-on and tackle the cowards who are trying to kill people selectively and implement their nefarious designs.
The senior BJP leader mentioned that since 2014, the count of terrorists killed in combing operations is in hundreds which is testimony to the fact that soon J&K will be back on track with peaceful dwelling becoming a new normal and tourists thronging the paradise as never before. He said that though the path was difficult and still there are hurdles which the Government is trying to cross gradually to attain ultimate peace in the Union Territory but the intent of the BJP Government is pure and that is the most significant aspect in achieving the goal of restoring pristine glory of J&K with peace as top priority.
