Modi guarantee a bundle of lies: Sheikh Rehman

JAMMU, Feb 14: Chief patron, Forum for Peace and Territorial Integrity (FPTI), J&K, Sheikh Abdul Rehman today alleged that the time when general elections in the country are round the corner, the populist assertions made by PM Modi are nothing but the bundle of lies, which is known across the country.
In a handout issued, Rehman said that none of the promises made by our PM has been fulfilled, the debt over India has risen to three times high than it was before 2014, the rupees has fallen down tremendously as compared to US Dollar, India is lagging behind in various parameters than its neighbour like poverty, hunger, malnutrition, ease of doing business , grant of 2 cr jobs per day.
Referring to grant of warding Bharat Rattan to revered Chaudhary Charan Singh, and Dr Swami Nathan, Sheikh termed it as an attempt to lure farmer community in view of ongoing agitation of farmers over demanding grant of MSP.
Welcoming Ram Mandir construction, he accused Modi of making the issue political for fetch votes and said that during last 75 years, none of the PMs be it Indira Gandhi, Nehru, Rajiv Gandhi, Narsimha Rao etc. have thought it proper to pass a resolution in parliament in his personnel favour.
Ridiculing abrogation of Article 370, Rehman advised former Chief Minister, Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah having locus standi in the case to move international court of Justice against the arbitrary move to annul the constitutional article against the will of people.
He further exhorted upon the print and electronic media to rise above the clutches of capitalists and contribute to highlight the rights of people instead of become a tool in the hands of ruling Government.
