JAMMU, Mar 22: A program was organised for empowering women and prosperous society’ at Ward Number 58, Jeevan Nagar in Gandhi Nagar, constituency today by social worker Kulbir Kour.
Senior BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria was main speaker and special invitee. In the program, information was given about women empowerment, girl education, tips to become self-reliant and to stay away from anti-social elements.
BJP leader Billwaria said that women will not get their rights until they become aware. “For this it is necessary that every woman should be aware of her rights and be ready to avoid anti-social elements,” he added.
He said that dedication and devotion to women empowerment is a must. When women will be empowered only then the country will progress and develop. He said that in the name of the country, including Bharat Mata, Gau Mata, Maa Saraswati, Maa Lakshmi, Maa Durga, all worship the girls with respect to the mother power, but no one wants a daughter in the house. It is because of this, they do not miss committing heinous sins like feticide. In order to honor the mother power, women will also have to change their thinking and also make others aware, he added.
He said that the Modi Government has taken many steps towards women empowerment and self-reliant India the benefits of which are being extended to the women of the country on a large scale. The aim of the Government is that women should also go shoulder to shoulder with men. He said that women will have to fight for their rights by becoming self-reliant only then they will be able to get a proper place in the society.
