DHANBAD : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held the Congress responsible for various ills afflicting the country and claimed that the people would never forgive the party for its acts of omission and commission. “If they (Congress) continue with their negative activities, people will continue to teach them a lesson,” he said addressing an election meeting here.
Without directly naming Congress leaders, he said they were delivering the same speeches which they did during the Lok Sabha elections and the result was there for everyone to see. The party would meet the same fate in the Assembly elections too. Asking the people of Jharkhand to vote the BJP to power in the state, he counted various welfare scheme launched by his government ever since it came to power at the Centre. “Ours is a government of the poor, for the poor and because of the poor,” he added.
The Prime Minister said Jharkhand was known the world over for its mineral resources. “Your are sitting on black diamond but the Opposition parties have even exploited the state’s mineral wealth also for their selfish interests,” he added. (AGENCIES)
