JAMMU, May 19: Senior BJP leader and former Mayor of Jammu city, Rajinder Sharma has stated that PM Modi and Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha have taken the Union Territory to new heights of progress and prosperity ushering a peaceful atmosphere free from fear of any kind for all.
Addressing a gathering at Tawi Vihar near here, today Sharma said that for those having doubts on abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A from J&K, the record 38 poll per cent in Srinagar Lok Sabha election should be an eye-opener.
“Surprising is to see that those politicians who earlier boycotted elections have now noted public mood and have participated in the democratic process which clearly shows that things have now changed in J&K,” the senior BJP leader stated.
He said that now the people of Kashmir are themselves saying that there was no internet blackout during elections and on other occasions and they have even claimed that earlier they were paid Rs. 500 for stone pelting but now they have realised that the developmental model of PM Modi is the real model for progressive and liberal society ensuring welfare of the people of J&K.
The former Mayor was addressing a programme organised by Tawi Vihar Residents Welfare Association (TVRWA) under the leadership of B.S Thakur, president TVRWA, Sidhra.
Rajinder Sharma also said that India has now established new norms of progress with the soft landing on Moon, successful organisation of G20 meets etc which has established beyond doubts that India will soon be the third largest economy of the world.
“Taking such progressive strides in mind for actions the campaign under the name of ‘Jan Sushasan’ has been started resolving that we will also add our contributions to the achievements of legendary Pandit Prem Nath Dogra, Mehar Chand Mahajan, internationally renowned para-athlete, Sheetal Devi, chiefs of Army Staff and Chief Justices from J&K along with other personalities of J&K to bring transparent and accountable delivery system to strengthen our nation under the banner of ‘Jan Sushasan Abhiyan, Sahi Soch, Sahi Log’ (better governance with proper thinking and upright people) to fructify the efforts of PM Modi,” he continued.
Delden Angmo, Dr. H.N Kar, Rohini Kiran Gupta, Harish Kaila, Adeep Badyal, Anil Sharma and others from the Tawi Vihar were also present on the occasion.
