MENDHAR, Dec 31: BJP Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Er Gulam Ali Khatana has lauded the transformative developmental strides witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Highlighting the remarkable progress in previously underdeveloped areas, MP Khatana emphasized the unprecedented attention given to border districts like Rajouri and Poonch. He attributed this surge in development to the visionary policies of the Modi-led Government, which have ushered in a new era of prosperity.
Addressing an impressive gathering at Salwah, Mendhar, organized by VC DDC Poonch, Er Mohd Ashfaq, MP Khatana underscored the pivotal role played by the abrogation of Article 370 in fostering peace and development in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that “peace and development” have become the defining themes in the region since this historic move.
Furthermore, he praised the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra as a ground breaking initiative by the Modi Government. This yatra, he explained, aims to bring the developmental journey of India directly to the doorsteps of the common masses, enlightening them about various Government schemes and initiatives.
As the nation continues its trajectory of progress, MP Khatana urged the public to actively engage with these developmental endeavours, emphasizing their role in shaping a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir.
The MP claimed that previous Governments exploited tribals and backwards in the name of religion, region and sects but BJP Govt provided tribals/STs political reservation to empower them. Besides political reservation, BJP has given land rights to the tribals under Forest Rights Act, he added.
DDC members and scores of Sarpanches on the occasion, also appreciated PM Narendra Modi for his progressive and secular vision in shaping the future outlook of India.
