Modi’s saffron revolution remarks loaded with furtive message: Tarigami

Srinagar, Aug 13: Taking an exception to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Saffron revolution’ remarks made during his Ladakh tour, CPI (M) State Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has said that the statement is loaded with furtive message reflecting the RSS agenda.
Tarigami said any move aimed at communal polarization of the State is fraught with dangerous consequences for the entire region. The CPI (M) leader also cautioned people to remain vigilant against any mischief to be tried by the BJP ahead of upcoming Assembly elections in the State.
Surprised over the Prime Minister’s focused visits to Jammu and Ladakh, Tarigami said though the two regions are integral parts of the State and their development is most welcome but ignoring the summer capital Srinagar echoes a dispensable treatment with its inhabitants.
“It seems Srinagar city is not in the list of priorities for Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Tarigami remarked.
