UDHAMPUR, Aug 24: An accused of molestation case in Udhampur was arrested today from Qazigund, where he was hiding after committing the crime.
The accused has been identified as Fareed Mohd of Leri, Udhampur, who had allegedly molested a woman in village Leri Udhampur on August 21, raising waves of strong resentment among the locals.
The agitated people had also held a strong protest against the incident and blocked National Highway near Jaganu Morh.
According to police, the arrest was made after a series of raids at possible hideouts of the accused, who was ultimately traced in Qazigund, Kashmir.
