JAMMU, Nov 24: Jhajjar Kotli police arrested a man for molesting a woman in a passenger vehicle, here today.
As per police sources, a complaint was received from a lady hailing from Janipur that, when she was traveling in tempo traveler bearing registration number JK20-5068 from Chanka, district Reasi to Jammu, a person identified as Zamil Ahmed, son of Khalil Ahmed of Kalakot, district Rajouri molested her.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 137/15 under Section 354 RPC was registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli and the accused was arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli police station Inspector Ravinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
