Money was stolen from Indian exchequer in Rafale: Rahul

NEW DELHI : Continuing his attack on the BJP government at the Centre on the deal for Rafale fighter aircraft, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said the money was stolen from the Indian exchequer in Rafale.
In a post on the social media, Rahul said, ”Money was stolen from the Indian exchequer in Rafale.”
He also posted on his Twitter account a news report that said that Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) performance audit on defence offset contracts to the government has no mention of any offset deals related to Rafale aircraft purchased from French company Dassault Aviation.
The news report said that the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has denied any information related to the Rafale offset deals to the auditor.
In this context, Rahul also posted a quote by Mahatma Gandhi which said, “Truth is one, paths are many” in an indication that truth in the deal would eventually be known.
Rahul has been constantly attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA government on the deal for Rafale fighter jets, alleging irregularities in the deal.
