SRINAGAR Jan 28: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) senior vice president and AICC appointed Coordinator for Baramulla-Kupwara Parliamentary Constituency, G.N Monga today held a meeting with party leaders of three Assembly segments and reviewed the election preparedness in Bandipora District of North Kashmir.
Monga urged the party leaders to gear-up for upcoming Parliamentary elections ensuring that the Congress party emerges stronger.
He also sought details with regard to appointment of Booth Level Agents at every booth in the District while urging the leaders to strengthen the booths in entire Bandipora district.
“Congress will fight the election with great vigor and vitality and will do its utmost to seek peoples’ support on the basis of party’s sacrifices, services and the struggle to seek justice for the people of J&K, who have been pushed towards darkness in every respect by the ruling dispensation at Centre,” Monga claimed.
He said that the democratic process provides opportunity to elect representatives who can represent people’s urges and aspiration at every forum.
The Congress leader asked the party leaders from Gurez, Sumbal, Sonawari and Bandipora to leave no stone unturned to reach out to the people and further enlighten them about the significance of elections and also appeal them to vote for Congress party, which is capable of fighting for justice and safeguarding their rights.
Bandipora District Congress Committee leader Farooq Ahmad Sheikh and others also spoke on the occasion.
