Monitor influx of attendants in COVID hospitals: DHSK

Srinagar, May 20: The Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) has asked district health authorities across Kashmir Division to effectively monitor influx of attendants in COVID hospitals.
In this regard, a letter written to Chief Medical Officers of all Districts and the Medical Superintendents of all District Hospitals across Kashmir have been asked to ensure strict adherence to the SOPs at all the healthcare facilities under their administrative control.
“…as has been directed by the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir during the course of the meeting held on May 17, 2021, you are directed to monitor the influx of attendants in Dedicated Covid Hospitals (DCHs) and Dedicated Covid Health Centres (DCHCs) under your administrative control by ensuring strict adherence to SOPs/guidelines already circulated in this regard so as to prevent them from getting infected & contain transmission of infection to others,” the letter reads.
In addition, the district health authorities have also been directed to make sure that the attendants “do not manipulate oxygen devices in the health institutions falling under your administrative control.”
They have also been directed to put in place signages, posters advocating the hazards of manipulating oxygen devices & increasing the flow of oxygen which is deleterious to the health of patients.
