Moosa Saleem of J&K bags Indian Music Diaries Award 2024

MUMBAI, May 23: J&K’s Moosa Saleem has been recently named as best electronic artist of the year at Indian Music Diaries Awards 2024-one of the most prestigious awards for independent music in India.
Moosa’s journey started from Doda to Srinagar and then to Mumbai.
Other nominees included renowned artists like Kiss Nuka and Hashbass, underscoring the significance of Moosa’s win.
The jury featured Amit Gurbaxani (music journalist), Nirmika Singh (Executive Editor at Rolling Stone India), Arjun S Ravi (writer of the documentary series ‘Standing By’) and Neel Adhikari (composer for the acclaimed series ‘Little Things’). Last year’s award went to Curtain Blue.
Moosa’s recent hit ‘Behroopiya’ showcases his musical evolution-a rich blend of deep house and indie disco that transcends traditional boundaries.
Moosa’s talent has caught the attention of industry giants such as Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Korolova, Alok, Don Diablo and Benny Benassi.
His discography includes releases on over 40 labels worldwide and collaborations with more than 60 international artists in just four years.
