JAMMU, Jan 29: BJP’s ST Morcha has alleged that Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was adopting discriminatory attitude with the Gojri language and it was not acceptable at any stage.
In a press statement issued here today State vice president of the Morcha, Ch Mushtaq Inqlabi alleged that JKAACL was openly discriminating with Gojri language. He said on the eve of Republic Day, JKAACL sub office organized a colourful program of music and dance in both the districts of Rajouri and Poonch in which total 16 parties were booked for different cultural items like Pahari, Dogri and others, but Academy totally ignored Gojri culture in both the districts. Most of the Gojri singers and artists hail from Rajouri- Poonch.
Inqlabi further warned the authority of JKAACL to take serious note of the issue otherwise Morcha will be on the roads against the step motherly attitude of administration towards Gojri.
