JAMMU, Mar 8: More Kashmiri Pandit leaders have expressed concern over the arbitrary role of ZEO Qazigund who has placed 26 PM package teachers mostly females under suspension and declaring them absconding.
In their separate statements former MLC and vice president BJP, Ajay Bharti and Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) chief, Kundan Kashmiri have taken serious exception to style of functioning of the ZEO Qazigund and said that such a behavior of some officers in Valley will never help in confidence building measures among the displaced Pandits who are victims of terrorism and were forced to leave Kashmir on gun point.
Ajay Bharti said that after hard efforts, the youth got motivated to work in Valley but unfortunately some officers are harassing them to force them leave Kashmir again. This is a serious situation and the Government should identify such officers and investigate on whose behest such action was taken on the very first day after getting additional charge of the post.
Bharti said the word `absconding’ which the officer has mentioned in his order is highly objectionable as these employees are serving in the Valley and are very much physically there despite facing shortage of accommodation and other facilities.
Kundan Kashmiri sought the intervention of Union Home Minister, Amit Shah in the matter saying the KPs smell a rat in the action of ZEO. He demanded immediate revocation of suspension order and release of salaries to the migrant teachers besides withdrawing the additional charge from ZEO of Wailo Zone.
