More leaders, organizations mourn martyrdom of 5 Army officials in Kalakote encounter

JAMMU, Nov 24: Many more political leaders and other social organizations today mourned martyrdom of 5 Army officials in Kalakote encounter and urged Central Government to take decisive action against terrorism.
Senior Congress leaders Mula Ram (former Minister) and Hari Singh Chib, in a meeting held here today, described the martyrdom of the five brave soldiers as a “colossal loss” to the nation and the Indian Army. They said that the nation is forever indebted to these brave hearts who have made the ultimate sacrifice to safeguard the sovereignty and integrity of the country. The Congress leaders extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the martyrs and assured them of the Congress party’s unwavering support in this time of grief.
Ajaz Jan, provincial president of National Conference (NC) Youth and former MLA, while expressing grief over the martyrdom of Army personnel, said, “The Government must provide all possible assistance to the families of the martyrs and ensure that they are not left to fend for themselves”. While attending Namaz-e-Janaza of Kalakote Martyr at his graveyard in village Ajot in Poonch, the former Legislator said, “I offer my heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten”.
Former MLC Vikramaditya Singh, in a statement issued to the media, extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the martyrs. He expressed his anguish over the loss of lives of the brave soldiers, who laid down their lives in the defense of the nation. He urged the Government at the Centre to take strong and decisive action against terrorism, emphasizing the need to eliminate this threat and protect the lives of innocent civilians. He also called for enhanced measures to strengthen border security and prevent future attacks.
Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) members, while expressing grief over the martyrdom of Army officials, strongly criticized the Pakistan in violating the ceasefire and encouraging terrorism and allowing terror acts to disturb the peace. They also appealed international forums to put a blanket ban on Pakistan and declare it a terrorist country. The members conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the families of martyrs.
The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena under the leadership of their president Ashok Gupta took out a massive protest rally in Jammu city by burning the Pakistani flags against the martyrdom of our 2 Captain and 3 Jawans. The Party president paid his tribute to the martyrs and offered condolences to the families of the deceased.
