More organisations condemn killing of Rajni Bala

JAMMU, June 1: The widespread condemnation of killing of Rajni Bala a school teacher in Gopalpora village in South Kashmir district of Kulgam by terrorists yesterday continues to pour for second consecutive day today with various political parties and social bodies asking Government to deal more firmly with terrorists and their over ground sympathisers besides ensuring fool proof security to the Jammu based and PM package employees in Kashmir Valley.
Dogra Front Shiv Sena led by Ashok Gupta its president held a protest rally here, today against the killing of a female Hindu teacher. The party workers raised slogans against the terrorism and torched the effigy of Gupkar Gang.
Terming the killing a cowardly and barbaric act, Ashok Gupta said there have been 22 killings of Hindus by terrorists in the Valley and over 14 people have been injured and this is an undeclared war on minorities in Kashmir which will not be tolerated now.
Former Minister and president, Dogra Sadar Sabha, Gulchain Singh Charak while strongly condemning the killing urged the Government to revisit its security strategy. The former Minister urged the Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha and Union Government to review their policy in totality regarding providing the security to each and every law abiding person and nationalist citizens in Kashmir irrespective of their religion caste and creed.
He, while terming the killings a cowardly acts urged the Government to frame a strategy and involve local civil society and politicians to ensure that the common citizens are not forced to emigrate once again from Valley.
Dr Ramesh Bhat a social activist while strongly condemned the selected and targeted killings by terrorists in the Valley said that Inter Service Agency (ISI) of Pakistan has changed its strategy totally. He said though Pakistan’s economy is in shambles and it is with begging bowl seeking help from other countries but instead of spending this money for welfare of the people of its country it is siphoning on terrorist activities against India.
He said it is high time for GoI to hit their terrorist camps deep in Pakistan territory as India has capacity and capability to identify their terrorist camps and hit them deep so that they are taught a lesson once for all.
Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum has also strongly condemned the killing of female teacher from Jammu in Kashmir Valley and termed it a barbaric act of enemies of humanity. The Front, which held a meeting under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria said it is duty of Government to safeguard the lives of citizens.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has also strongly condemned the killing of a Hindu teacher from Jammu in Kashmir Valley yesterday. In a statement, KPC chief, Kundan Kashmiri and its senior leader Tej Pandita said that the killing is an eye opener for Government which should not delay relocation of package and other Hindu employees to Jammu or other safer places outside the Valley.
Dr Varun Padha a social activist has also strongly condemned the killing of a female teacher from Jammu in Valley and termed it a gruesome and barbaric act. He said such acts are against humanity and all peace loving people should stand against terrorism.
Janata Dal (JD) leader, Sanjay Dhar has also strongly condemned the killing of Rajni Bala and urged the Government to ensure fool proof security to the all employees of minority community working in the Valley besides, accepting their demands without further delay. He said it is unfortunate that though PM package was announced way back in 2008 the Government in last 12 years failed to construct the residential accommodations for these employees and exposed them to grave risk of their lives
A large number of traders under the banner of Traders Federation Ware House Nehru Market today took out a candle march at Bikram Chowk to pay rich tributes to the Teacher Rajni Bala who was killed by militants on Tuesday in Kulgam district of Kashmir. The candle march started from Ware House out gate near the Police Post and after passing through the main road, culminated at Bikram Chowk, where tributes were paid to the Teacher Rajni Bala.
Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Gupta, President Traders Federation Ware House Nehru Market strongly condemned the selective killing of minority community members by terrorist in broad day light and termed it total failure on the part of administration.
Continuing with the resentment across the valley, Candle light marches in solidarity with Rajni Bala was organized at all the locations of Villgam Battalion area wherein people from Jaba (Upper Rajwar), Magam Block, Taratpora Block and Ramhall Block participated in huge strength. In today’s event, approx 453 individuals expressed their resentment against the targeted killing by the terrorist organization.
